My Tribulations with the DEA

We have been treating patients with severe intractable pain. Soon after opening our clinic we were being harassed by the Frederick County Drug Task Force (Frederick MD) and the DEA who tried to dictate how we were to prescribe Opiods. We resisted their attempts. After all, I had the medical degree and was knowledgeable in what we were doing. We were not telling them how to arrest people It is not my expertise. But their actions and tactics are not what one would expect in a so-called "free country." But then, who really believes we are truly free.Since I did not have the resources to fight them legally, I have to resort to what I can afford and can do -- the reason why I am publishing my response on my Blog for the entire world to see.
The eventual outcome of their efforts was the suspension of my license to practice medicine. One cannot fight these people because few have the resources to fight the power of the state. The following Blogs allow me to present my case. I will let the public judge.

I am sorry it took so long to answer your question. I have decided not to fight the DEA or the medical board because I do not have the money to do so. The medical board suspended my license taking away from me an income allowing me to fight them. That is the way they operate. Although I have a small amount of savings, I do not intend to pour it into a bottomless pit of mounting a legal defense.
Thank you.

Because you know you would lose. I applaud the board for removing shady doctors off the street.

I'd start looking into other countries where there is no extradition, I'll bet they are moments away from you by now! Being the fire and all!

What an a**Hole you are. In a previous comment you advised me to move on. I have, but you still write me nasty comments almost daily. I suggest you do the same and move on. Your hate full comments only destroy yourself. Please Read my book: How to Benefit from Stress. You could well use the sound advice. You are really a sick puppy, my friend. If you can break away from your hatred, Have Happy Thanksgiving. By the way your comments come in as anonymous -- another indication of your desire to hide in the bushes and throw darts.

I agree with every word in your blog, that is exactly how things r done&as a previous patient I know full&well how carefully u screened people to ensure they were complying with the opiod agreement and doing no illegal activities I think that for an investigation to b mounted and a decision to suspend ones license within only two months to b a case of....well almost slander when u think of it to b singled out so quickly n such an awful manner not to mention there are other places and physicians that give the same medication people have ligitimate problems and they do not all get punished submitting a list of dismissed patients was a good idea and they shouldn't have ignored it because it is those people that have caused people with ligitiment issues and pain to loose their physician
